Well, it wasn't originally like that.  The post title was "Test" and I published it to see how my prospective blog would look, this being in the days before we had that spiffy WYSIWYG "preview" function.  I decided to keep it so I renamed the post as it appears above.  It's not exactly a barn-burner, is it?  One comment in five years and that lone remark just barely a year old.  

I only had to wait one day before I got my first REAL comment (two of 'em, actually), that from Blog-Bud Laurie who still comes around from time to time. Lou, Bob Reese and others began to show up a couple of weeks later and they still come around, too.  I'm not counting The Boys, of course, because it was duty and obligation for them.  We have made some fine friends during the past five years and only a couple of enemies.  And for that I'm oh-so-very grateful.

So.  Here we are... 3,261 posts later.  Truth be known:  I didn't think I'd last half this long.
