Another Beautiful Spring Day On The High Plains Of New Mexico

Not.  From the NWS in ABQ:

Statement as of 4:18 AM MDT on May 10, 2010

... High Wind Warning in effect until 6 PM MDT this evening...

The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a High
Wind Warning... which is in effect until 6 PM MDT this evening.

* Location... this includes the east slopes of the Sangre de Cristo
Mountains... the Raton ridge... the Sandia and Manzano Mountains
and portions of east central New Mexico.

* Winds... west to southwest 35 to 45 mph with gusts to 60 mph.

(sigh)  Stuck inside for yet another day. I was just outside... briefly... to take the picture you see below.  I can still feel the grit in my eyes.  Not at all pleasant, this stuff.
