First: a highly entertaining Michael Yon parody site... Michael Yawns Online.  Sample:

Everyone knows by now that Brigadier General Menard is going to get a court martial. Menard is the Canadian guy who shot down a US helicopter while "accidentally" discharging his rifle because he was distracted by a hockey game. Was it really an accident?

Now the Canadians claim that Menard shot his gun at the airfield, and didn't shoot down the helicopter. How many PAO monkeys randomly pecked away at typewriters before that piece of fiction was written? Good thing I was there, on the front lines of the base at Kandahar Airfield, to tell the real story.

This Menard is the same guy who blew up that strategic bridge in Kandahar while watching another hockey game. Why was hockey more important than that bridge? I could maybe understand if it was the Superbowl, but hockey? That's like gay lacrosse on ice. Good thing he didn't blow up the hockey game itself. But with Montreal still in the playoffs, who knows what this guy is capable of.

Heh.  "Gay lacrosse on ice."  Those of you who read milblogs are well aware of the brouhaha surrounding Yon, all of it self-inflicted, in my humble.  Yon has done outstanding work in the past but the general consensus among the milblogging community is the guy needs a vacation.  This parody site mimics Yon's current tone and attitude.  Biting satire.

Speaking of hockey... Our third Game Seven of these 2010 playoffs is on tonight... eighth-seeded Montreal vs. fourth-seeded and current Stanley Cup custodians Pittsburgh.  ALL the hockey world's abuzz about this one and it's high drama, indeed.  Can those upstart Habs dethrone the current champs?  Will The Obnoxious Whining Crosby score another Golden Goal to lead his team to the Eastern Conference final?  Can Jaroslav Halak continue being the BEST goalie in the playoffs?  All those questions will be answered tonight on Versus... beginning at 1900 hrs EDT.  (Image from Puck Daddy's Crosby Photoshop contest.  Click for larger.)

Groups of Americans were traveling by tour bus through  Holland  ..  As they stopped at a cheese farm, a young guide led them through the process of cheese making, explaining that goat's milk was used.  She showed the group a lovely hillside where many goats were grazing.  'These' she explained, 'Are       the older goats put out to pasture when they no longer produce.'  She then asked, 'What do you do in  America  with your old goats?' 

A spry old gentleman answered, 'They send us on bus tours!'

Well, that's not entirely true.  Some of us get exiled to small dusty towns in the middle o' nowhere.
